Your Complete Guide to Playing Whales of Cash
Welcome to the definitive guide for playing the Whales of Cash video gaming terminal at Bacchus in Shiloh, IL. This game, developed by the renowned manufacturer Aristocrat, has captivated players with its charming aquatic theme and straightforward, yet rewarding, gameplay. Its colorful graphics, featuring playful sea creatures and treasure chests, create an immersive experience that stands out on the floor. This guide will walk you through every aspect of the game, helping you understand its mechanics and features so you can feel confident and prepared for your next visit.
Getting Started: The Game Interface
When you first sit down at a Whales of Cash machine, you will see a screen filled with symbols, buttons, and information. Understanding this layout is the first step to playing. The main area is the grid of symbols, which consists of five vertical columns called reels. The goal is to land matching symbols across these reels on designated paylines. Unlike older machines, modern video gaming terminals like Whales of Cash offer multiple ways to win.
Below the reels, you will find the control panel. This is where you will manage your game. Key buttons include:
- Denomination: This button allows you to select the value of each credit you are betting, such as one cent, two cents, or five cents. Understanding what a denomination is on a slot machine is key to managing your budget.
- Bet Per Line: Here you can choose how many credits to wager on each active payline. This, multiplied by the number of paylines and the denomination, determines your total bet.
- Spin/Play: The large button, often in the center or on the right, starts the game by spinning the reels.
- Info/Paytable: This crucial button opens a series of screens that explain the game's rules, symbol values, payline structures, and bonus features. It is always a good idea to review the paytable before you play.
The Symbols of the Deep
The symbols in Whales of Cash bring the underwater theme to life. You will find standard playing card symbols (like 9, 10, J, Q, K, A) which represent the lower-value payouts. The real excitement comes from the thematic, higher-value symbols, which include starfish, oysters with pearls, and treasure chests. To win, you typically need to land three or more matching symbols on a payline, starting from the leftmost reel. The two most important symbols in the game are the Wild and the Scatter.
The Whale symbol is the Wild. A wild symbol in slots acts like a joker in a deck of cards; it can substitute for any other symbol (except the Scatter) to help form a winning combination. In Whales of Cash, the Whale also acts as a multiplier. If a Whale helps create a winning line, the payout for that line is doubled.
The Money Bag symbol is the Scatter. Unlike other symbols, the scatter symbol does not need to appear on a specific payline to be effective. Landing three or more Money Bag symbols anywhere on the reels will trigger the game's main bonus feature and award a payout.
Unlocking the Free Spins Bonus
The most thrilling part of Whales of Cash is its free spins bonus round. This is activated when you land three, four, or five Money Bag scatter symbols on the screen at the same time. The number of free spins you receive depends on the number of scatters that triggered the bonus:
- 3 Money Bags award 10 free spins.
- 4 Money Bags award 15 free spins.
- 5 Money Bags award 25 free spins.
During the free spins round, all winnings that include a wild Whale symbol are multiplied. Even better, you can re-trigger the bonus by landing three or more Money Bag symbols during your free spins, adding more spins to your total. This feature is where the game's biggest payout potential lies and is a major reason for its lasting popularity among players who visit our video gaming lounge near you.
